Helping Our Youth

The At-Risk-Youth program assists the families with youth who are having difficult times in society. Raising young adults can become a difficult task. We want to help transform lives by educating, building character, and helping to become productive adults.

 

 

The Program Offers:

Individual Risk Factors:

 

 

  • Job Training

  • Communication Skills

  • Character Building Activities

  • Counseling

  • Job Placements

  • Tutoring 

 

 

                                                  

  • History of violent victimization

  • Attention deficits, hyperactivity or learning disorders

  • History of early aggressive behavior

  • Involvement with drugs, alcohol or tobacco

  • Low IQ

  • Poor behavioral control

  • Deficits in social cognitive or information-processing abilities

  • High emotional distress

  • History of treatment for emotional problems

  • Antisocial beliefs and attitudes

  • Exposure to violence and conflict in the family
